R Ashwin and Jadeja drop a massive statement on getting dropped from the Perth test

India is preparing for another test, this time against Australia, in Adelaide. Abhishek Nayar, assistant coach of the Indian team, has opened a few aspects about the combination and process within the team. The pink-ball Test in Adelaide is scheduled for December 6. Nayar also highlighted the importance of these seasoned players like Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin. These two were not there for the first Test owing to a combination decision by the team.

“When you have seniors like Jaddu (Jadeja) and Ash (Ashwin) who understand what the team is trying to do, it becomes very easy. Everyone has bought into the policy, which is about the team first, that the coach and captain believe in. They want to help juniors do well here. The culture here is there to win India,” Nayar explained in a press conference.

Nayar talked about the role of spinners with the pink-ball and he had full faith in their effect.

“Of course there is a role for spinners with the pink ball. No one is out of the game. Plans may change, pace and release may change. I truly believe a top-class spinner will always play in a game of cricket,” he said, driving home the importance of adaptability and skills in different conditions.

Before battling Australia for the second Test, India will face the Prime Minister’s XI in Canberra to fine-tune their preparations.

The next destination is the Gabba ground, where the third Test will be held from December 14 to 18.

The end of year brings with it the iconic Boxing Day Test, which runs from December 26-30 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, and will serve as the penultimate event of the series on Australian soil.

Finally, January 3-7, the Sydney Cricket Ground will hold the fifth and final Test to spice up the series.
