UBT MP taunts on the delay in government formation in Maharashtra, says – When you are not able to take a decision on CM, then how will you take other decisions?
New Delhi : The answer to the question of who will be the next CM of Maharashtra has not been found even after a week of the election results. Last Thursday, a round of meetings went on in Delhi till late night, due to which it was believed that the name of CM would be unveiled by late Thursday night, but it did not happen. Earlier in the Mahayuti alliance, there was a dispute going on between BJP and Shiv Sena regarding the post of CM, which ended with the press conference of Eknath Shinde held on Wednesday.
At the same time, despite the belief that Devendra Fadnavis becoming the Chief Minister for the third time, the BJP leadership did not take any such decision in the meeting held last night. According to information received from sources, the BJP leadership is also considering the names of some of its Maratha leaders, because most of the 288 MLAs of all parties are from the Maratha community, while Fadnavis comes from the Brahmin community.
Slogans like Ek Hain Toh Safe Hain called election gimmicks
Despite so many days having passed since the results, the leaders of the parties included in the Mahavikas Aghadi alliance have started taking a dig at the BJP leadership for not deciding the name of the CM yet. In this context, on Friday, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi said, “..if we are united, we will be safe, we will be divided, all this was your complete strategy for the Maharashtra elections. As soon as you have won the election, there is a difference in words and deeds. It has been seen that for them all these things are political gimmicks. These are the people who have implemented the entire program of divide, reap and loot together from the Center to Maharashtra.”

Delay in government formation called disrespect of mandate
On the delay in government formation in Maharashtra, Priyanka Chaturvedi further said, “I believe this is a disrespect to the constitution. You got the mandate and the public expressed confidence in you and voted for you. You have got the mandate, so the delay you are doing so much is not a disrespect to what you have promised, so is this not against the promise? If you are not able to decide among yourselves who will be the CM? So how will you take all the other decisions?…It seems that these people have come only for power and not for the people…”
