According to Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, the duration of the winter session was 26 days. During this period, 20 meetings were held in the Lok Sabha while 19 meetings were held in the Rajya Sabha. 5 Bills were introduced in the Lok Sabha, out of which 4 were passed by the Lok Sabha. Three bills were passed by the Rajya Sabha. The Indian Aircraft Bill 2024 was passed by both the houses. Proceedings lasted for about 62 hours in the Lok Sabha. If we talk about Rajya Sabha, then the work done here was even less, 43 hours 39 minutes. If seen in this way, the winter session of Parliament was completely lost due to the uproar of the opposition.
Congress remained firm on its adamant stand in Parliament and Rahul Gandhi and his MPs kept repeatedly criticizing the government's intention to run the House. Even during the discussion on the Constitution, there was tremendous uproar in both the Upper House and the Lower House. Voting also took place in the Lok Sabha to introduce the bill related to One Nation-One Election. After this the bill was sent to JPC for discussion. Perhaps this amendment bill should be brought before the House again in the next session.
