Night Club Fire In North Goa: A major accident took place in Arpora village of North Goa late Saturday night. A massive fire broke out in a night club here due to a cylinder blast. 23 people died in this. All those who died were staff working at the club.

According to the police, a sudden cylinder blast occurred while working in the kitchen area. After the huge explosion, the fire engulfed the entire night club in no time. People immediately informed the police and fire brigade team. As soon as the information was received, Goa Police Chief Alok Kumar and other senior officers reached the spot.

Fire broke out in the kitchen area of ​​the ground floor

Goa DGP Alok Kumar has said that the fire broke out in the kitchen area of ​​the ground floor of the club around midnight. So far 23 people have been confirmed dead. Cylinder blast is believed to be the main cause of the fire. However, it is being fully investigated. The DGP also said that most of the deceased were found in the kitchen area. Two bodies have been found on the stairs. There were no tourists among the dead.

Chief Minister Sawant also reached the spot

On receiving information about the accident, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and local MLA Michael Lobo immediately reached the spot. The Chief Minister expressed condolences to the families of the deceased. At the same time, took information about the treatment of the injured. MLA Lobo said that no tourist has been affected by the fire. Many officers and officials are engaged in relief and rescue work. The MLA also said that the doctors of the hospital have been instructed to provide proper treatment and care to the injured.

Local people and employees say that apart from the staff, there were few people in the club at the time of the fire. The customers were all out on time. Officers are present at the scene. Investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing. Authorities have also started investigating the club’s adherence to safety standards. Appropriate action will be taken if any fault of the club management is found.
