Mary Milben: Modi is the most influential leader in current geopolitics!

African-American singer and long-time India fan Mary Milben has described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the most influential and most important leader in geopolitics today. He said that the meeting between Prime Minister Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin held in New Delhi this week has strengthened India’s global position.

In an exclusive interview to IANS, Milben said that the Modi-Putin talks reflect the deep partnership and long-standing trust between the two countries. According to him, “This meeting between Prime Minister Modi and President Putin was very successful.

This certainly paints a picture of a very deep alliance between India and Russia, just as there are strong relations between the US and India.

Milben praised Prime Minister Modi’s diplomatic style. He said that PM Modi showed great balance and strategic wisdom on sensitive matters like energy, defense and economic cooperation.

At the same time, he also said that Putin’s priority was to advance oil and defense cooperation, while Modi communicated on every issue keeping India’s interest at the center.

Milben said clearly, “The Prime Minister will do what is best in the interest of India. Every leader does the same for his country.”

In the interview, Milben kept emphasizing several times that the global reputation of Prime Minister Modi is at the highest level today.

He said, “Prime Minister Modi is the most important and most influential leader in the geopolitical landscape of the world at this time. This is a fact, it cannot be denied. PM Modi has put India and himself at the center of global politics.”

Mary Milben (who has close ties to US President Donald Trump and his team) strongly criticized the recent India policy of the Trump administration.

He said, “The American approach towards trade with India was very aggressive. At times this approach appeared coercive.”

Milben said, “India is our friend. Our strongest democratic partner. There can be disagreements in dialogue with friends, but without damaging the relationship.”

According to him, due to America’s unnecessary aggression, many big global players started looking for their alternatives, the effect of which was also visible in the diplomacy of India-Russia and India-China.

Milben directly suggested that Trump should look at this meeting from a new perspective. He said, “My advice is that Prime Minister Modi should be invited to America. Sit down and talk, have dinner, apologize and repair relations.”

He believes such a move would also be beneficial for the US, especially if it wants to move forward in Russia-Ukraine peace efforts.

Milben said, “If any leader in the world can become a mediator in Russia-Ukraine, it is only Prime Minister Modi.”

In the interview, Milben said that leaders around the world are keeping a close eye on the US elections this year.

“The world knows what election season is like in America,” he said.

Milben said that he has full confidence in both the leaders and both understand each other. I truly believe that Prime Minister Modi and President Trump are friends and have been for a long time. Modi’s recent diplomacy in New Delhi further strengthens his global stature. His leadership abilities have fully come to the fore. I appreciate them.

The Modi-Putin summit held in New Delhi is being considered as a new round of high-level dialogue between India and Russia. The partnership between the two countries extends to defence, energy, space and nuclear sectors.

India has been maintaining relations with both Russia and Ukraine since the beginning, making it one of the few countries in the world which has good relations with both the sides.

Mary Milben is today considered an unofficial cultural ambassador of India-US relations. He has often praised PM Modi’s leadership on global platforms.
