Haryana Weather: Cold increases in Haryana, weather will change from this day

Haryana Weather: A slight increase in temperature has been recorded in Haryana, but despite this the effect of cold has not reduced. The average minimum temperature has increased by 0.6°C in the last 24 hours, yet it remains 1.7°C below normal. The chill in the morning and evening is continuously increasing and there is a possibility of the cold becoming more intense due to icy winds in the state on 9th and 10th December.

The lowest temperature in the state was recorded at 4.6°C in Narnaul (Mahendragarh), an increase of 0.8°C from the previous day. The temperature in Karnal was recorded at 7°C, which is lower than the previous day. Similarly, the night temperature in Hisar was 6.2°C. The minimum temperature recorded in Charkhi Dadri was 10°C, while in Bhiwani it was 6°C.

Snowy winds on 9 and 10 December will bring down the temperature. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for six districts of Haryana—Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri and Narnaul—from December 9. There is a possibility of more cold in these areas. IMD Chandigarh Center says that the average minimum temperature in the state has increased by 1.4°C in the last 24 hours, but it is still 2.3°C less than normal.

The maximum temperature continues to fluctuate, due to which the weather is showing a mixed trend. According to the IMD Chandigarh report dated December 6, 2025, the average maximum temperature of the state, despite increasing by 0.8°C, remains 2.1°C below normal. Karnal, Nuh and Palwal recorded a maximum temperature of 25.4°C. A big increase of 1.9°C was seen in Gurugram. Rohtak saw a rise of 0.7°C, but was still 3.3°C below normal. Whereas in Sirsa the temperature dropped by 1°C to 23.6°C.

According to the Agricultural Meteorological Department, changes are being seen in the weather due to western disturbances. Head of the department, Dr. Madan Lal Khichad said that from December 9, north and north-westerly winds will become active again, due to which there may be a significant drop in the temperature, especially at night.

However, there is no chance of rain right now. No rainfall was recorded in any district of the state in the last 24 hours. The temperature is continuously going down due to north-westerly winds, and the cold is expected to increase further in the coming days. Dense fog and frost may also occur in the morning and late night.
