The reason for this question is that his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu has made many serious allegations including factionalism in Punjab Congress. Navjot Kaur Sidhu met Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria on Saturday. After which she said while talking to the media that if Congress declares her husband Navjot Singh Sidhu as the CM candidate in Punjab, then he will return to active politics. Sidhu’s wife alleged that there is tremendous factionalism in Punjab Congress. He said that already five Congress leaders are in the race for the post of CM of Punjab. These leaders do not want Navjot Singh Sidhu to move forward.

Navjot Kaur Sidhu said that my family does not have Rs 500 crore to give to any party to buy the CM’s chair, but my husband wants to make Punjab like a golden bird. Taking a jibe at Congress, he said that only the one who gives a suitcase worth Rs 500 crore becomes the CM. When Navjot Singh Sidhu’s wife was asked whether anyone asked her for money? So he said that no one asked us, but this is how it happens in politics. He said that the ongoing factionalism in Congress does not allow Navjot Singh Sidhu to move forward. Navjot Kaur said that if the Congress high command understands, then it is a different matter.

When asked whether Navjot Singh Sidhu will return and join BJP? Navjot Kaur Sidhu said that she cannot comment on her husband’s behalf. Then he said that if Congress declares Navjot Singh Sidhu as the CM face, then he will return to politics, otherwise he is happy with his earnings. Let us tell you that Navjot Singh Sidhu was earlier in BJP. BJP had also sent Navjot Singh Sidhu to Rajya Sabha, but later he joined Congress. Sidhu was made the Punjab Congress President. Then he also opened a front against the then CM Captain Amarinder Singh. There was a confrontation between the two. After this Captain Amarinder Singh went with BJP. At the same time, Congress lost Punjab in the assembly elections.
