Katy Perry Makes Relationship With Justin Trudeau Instagram Official After Japan Trip
American singer Katy Perry has confirmed her relationship with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, making it Instagram official with a series of photographs from their recent trip to Japan. One of the images shows the two smiling cheek-to-cheek in a warm selfie, while other visuals capture the couple enjoying a meal and spending relaxed moments together.
Perry captioned the post, “tokyo times on tour and more,” hinting at a blend of work and personal time during her stay in Japan.
The announcement comes days after Perry joined Trudeau during his visit with former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko. In a post on X, Kishida referred to Perry as Trudeau’s partner and highlighted his longstanding friendship with the former Canadian leader. He noted their past collaborations, including the creation of the Japan-Canada Action Plan, and expressed happiness at maintaining that connection.
Perry and Trudeau made their first public appearance as a couple on October 25 in Paris, celebrating Perry’s 41st birthday. Their initial spotting together, however, dates back to July, when they were seen walking their dogs in Canada.
Reports suggest that the former Canadian prime minister had shown interest in Perry during earlier visits to Montreal, eventually leading to their relationship becoming public.
