IND vs SA: Shubman Gill reached Bhubaneswar, will show fitness in the nets today
Bhubaneswar. The Indian team has reached Bhubaneswar for the T20 series against South Africa. The first match of the T20 series between the two teams is to be played on Tuesday at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. Shubman Gill has got a place in the Indian team for this series. BCCI Center of Excellence has declared him fit. Gill was out midway through the first Test due to a neck injury. After this he did not even participate in the ODI series.

Shubman Gill has also reached Bhubaneswar for the T20 series. He is also going to be seen in nets practice on Monday. Gautam Gambhir himself had confirmed that Gill is completely fit and ready for the international match. After the third and last ODI in Visakhapatnam on Saturday night, India’s coach said – Shubman is ready to start. That is why he has been selected. He is fit, fine and eager to play.
Gill also practiced in COE
Gill had neck problems while batting in the Kolkata Test against South Africa. He retired hurt. Since then he is walking out of the field. Before the start of the T20 series, Shubman Gill had reached the BCCI Center of Excellence in Bengaluru. There he waited for a few days and then was declared fit. Gill took up batting and fielding after getting the green signal on fitness from the BCCI medical team.
Will Sanju Samson sit out?
If Shubman Gill plays in the match, he will open with Abhishek Sharma. In such a situation, Sanju Samson may have to sit on the bench. Sanju was dropped from the playing eleven in the Australia tour. In his place, Jitesh Sharma was seen in the role of wicketkeeper. Jitesh also plays the role of finisher. On the other hand, Sanju has scored a lot of runs for India in the opening. But because of Gill he had to lose his place.
