5 NDA MLAs boycotted their own MP, came down from the stage before the speech
Sanjay Singh, Patna. Despite the massive victory in the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, perhaps everything is not going well in the NDA. Disagreements were clearly seen in the Mandar Mahotsav of Banka district when five NDA MLAs boycotted the speeches of JDU MP Girdhari Yadav. Seeing the MLAs getting up from the stage, the supporters also thought it best to leave. The sound of this tussle seen in Mandar Mahotsav is being heard across the state. The displeasure of the MLAs has even reached Patna.
Why is Vidyayak angry?
JDU MP Girdhari Yadav was in controversies even before the elections. He had given a statement against SIR going beyond the party line. Apart from this, he has a tally of thirty-six with JDU Vidyayak Manoj Yadav from Belhar. In the assembly elections, Girdhari Yadav had fielded his son Chanakya Prakash from Belhar on RJD ticket. Manoj Yadav’s troubles had increased with the arrival of the MP’s son. Although he managed to win the election, the fact that father and son were from different parties had a negative impact on other seats in Banka. This is the reason why other NDA MLAs are also angry with the MP.

What did MLA Manoj Yadav say?
MLA Manoj Yadav accused the administration of arbitrariness. He said that as per tradition, the local MLA presides over the Mandar Mahotsav function. But the officials gave this opportunity to the MP. Didn’t even hold a meeting with the MLAs regarding the fair. He further said that he had left the stage in protest against the chairmanship of the MP.
The first to leave the stage was JDU Vidyayak Manish Kumar of Dhuria. After him there was Ramnarayan Mandal, the Vidyalayak of Banka. Mandal says that he had to meet the workers. Had gone because of this. Puranlal Tuddu, who became a Vidyalaya for the first time from Katoria, also left the stage. When asked, he did not deny the MP’s claim of boycott. Former minister and Amarpur Vidyayak Jayant Raj Kushwaha also did not stay on the stage. The situation became more dire when BJP District President Brajesh Kumar Mishra and JDU District President also came down from the stage. The MP’s speech was to be the last one. But even before that, there is talk till Patna about MLAs leaving the stage.

MP also maintained distance
After his son lost the election, MP Girdhari Yadav has also kept distance from the MLAs. JDU workers did not reach the stage during the conference. Even in the assembly elections, his distance from the stage was visible. His name and face are also missing from the party’s banners and posters.
