JBC Kabaddi League will start in Jharkhand, Bihar and Chhattisgarh, first match of the session this year

Amrit Thoughts: Jharkhand Kabaddi Association, Bihar State Kabaddi Association and Chhattisgarh Kabaddi Association have jointly approved the ‘JBC Kabaddi League’. All three associations are affiliated to the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI). This new state-level franchise based league will be organized in the first half of this year, 2026. At present, 5 teams will participate in the inaugural session.

JBC Kabaddi League aims to provide an organized and professional platform to the grassroots talent present in Jharkhand, Bihar and Chhattisgarh. The league will include a systematic scouting process, player auction and competitive format.

Players will get a chance to showcase their potential and reach bigger opportunities. The organizers believe that this initiative will not only identify sports talent but also enhance sports competition, culture and audience participation at the local-regional level.

The league is being promoted by Indian sports entrepreneur Ranvijay Singh. He is the director of Bhojpuri Industry Premier League (BIPL) and also the franchise owner of Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL) team ‘Awadh Ramdoots’. He said that state level leagues are a strong foundation for sports development and JBC Kabaddi League aims to establish Kabaddi in the mainstream.

To promote participation at the grassroots level, renowned coach Randhir Singh Sehrawat has been made the brand ambassador of the league. Sehrawat, who has over four decades of experience, is an Arjuna Awardee and has made significant contributions to Indian Kabaddi. The organizers hope that under his guidance the league will get a new identity.
