Rahul remained in the court for about 25 minutes and recorded his statement. The next hearing of the case will be on March 9. According to the lawyers present in the court, on reaching the court, Rahul greeted the judge with folded hands. After the completion of the hearing, he smiled and thanked the judge.
From here, Rahul Gandhi’s convoy again suddenly stopped at Ramchet Mochi’s shop at MLA Nagar intersection in Kurebhar police station area. Here he met his son Raghav Ram, sat on a chair, took Raghav’s daughter in his lap, saw her injury and left after five minutes. Ramchet died of cancer three months ago. Ramchet was the same cobbler at whose shop Rahul had stitched shoes a year ago. Later a sewing machine was sent to him.
Rahul reached Lucknow airport from Delhi at 9 am. Congress workers welcomed him there. Upon reaching the court at around 10.30, the workers raised slogans of ‘Rahul Zindabad’. An attempt was made to garland him, but Rahul refused and went inside the court smiling.
