Nawada: IIT Roorkee student drowned in Kakolat waterfall, body not found even after 18 hours
Nawada. An IIT Roorkee student died due to drowning in deep water while taking bath in Bihar’s Kakolat Falls. Even after 18 hours of the incident, the body has not been found yet, due to which there is an uproar among the family members and a sensation has spread in the area.
A tragic accident took place on Tuesday in the famous Kakolat waterfall located in Thali police station area of Nawada. Dharam Raj, a resident of Beldha village of Warisaliganj police station area, died due to drowning in deep water. After the incident, a wave of mourning ran in the entire area.
According to the information received, Dharam Raj had gone to visit Kakolat Falls with his friends. Meanwhile, he went to take bath at the deep water place on the upper part of the hill.
It is being told that he drowned due to his sudden depth. The water at the place where the accident occurred is said to be very deep.
Deceased Dharam Raj (father-Hemant Raj) was studying B.Tech from IIT Roorkee. As soon as information about the incident was received, local people and administration team reached the spot. However, the body could not be recovered. Search is going on by local divers along with police.

More detailed information will be given by Nawada Disaster Management Department. NDRF team has left for Nawada from Bihta. After this the trained team will be able to take out the body.
Crying and sad condition of family members: As soon as the news of the incident was received, there was chaos among the family members. There is mourning in the entire area including Beldha village. The family members are yearning for Dharma Raj. People are in bad condition, crying.
