Hemkund Sahib Yatra started, sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh remembered

Rishikesh. The holy land of Rishikesh today witnessed a wonderful scene of spiritual, cultural and national unity, when the group of devotees were flagged off for the Hemkund Sahib Yatra. On this special occasion, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Taranjit Singh Sandhu and Swami Chidanand Saraswati welcomed the Panch Pyaras and bid them a respectful, respectful and emotional farewell. Bindra and Gurudwara Hemkund Saheb officials welcomed all the guests.

A vibrant celebration of India’s spiritual consciousness, tradition of service and national unity, where the atmosphere became completely devotional with the sacred sound of Gurbani and the chants of “Jo Bole So Nihaal”. Swami Chidanand Saraswati said in his blessings that Hemkund Sahib is not just a pilgrimage but a divine land of penance, sacrifice, service and courage. He said that the life of Guru Gobind Singh is an inspiration for the entire humanity. Guru Sahib dedicated his everything for the protection of religion, humanity and justice. Each chapter of his life is filled with courage, compassion and spiritual brilliance.

Swami said that today when the world is grappling with conflict, violence and division, the message of Guru Gobind Singh inspires humanity to unite, be fearless and stand up for religion. He called upon the devotees that the journey is not just a climbing of mountains, but also a journey within oneself. The difficult climb to Hemkund gives one the experience of patience, discipline and dedication to God.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu said that the pilgrimage to Hemkund Sahib is a symbol of the great tradition of Indian culture where spirituality and bravery go together. Paying tribute to the Guru tradition, he said that the sacrifice of Sikh Gurus is an invaluable heritage of the history of India.

He especially remembered the sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur and Guru Gobind Singh and said that their sacrifice for the protection of religion and human rights will always remain a source of inspiration for the coming generations. He said that Guru Sahib fought not only for the Sikh community but for the entire humanity.
The visit to Hemkund Sahib strengthens India’s great tradition of unity in diversity. Situated in the lap of the Himalayas, this holy place gives the devotees the experience of penance, service, sacrifice and connection with God.

Recalling the unique sacrifices of the Sikhs, Swami said that there are very few such examples in history where a Guru has dedicated his entire family for the protection of religion and humanity. The sacrifice of the four Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh will always remain immortal in the golden chapters of Indian history.
Swami Chidanand Saraswati said that India’s strength lies in its spiritual traditions and diverse cultures. This wonderful confluence of Ganga, Gurbani and Himalayas gives the message of peace, love and coexistence to the entire world.

At the conclusion of the program, wishes were expressed for world peace, human welfare and a successful journey. During this, traditional respect was given to Panch Pyaras. Devotees greeted the Sangat by showering flowers. After Ardaas, the Yatra group was flagged off.
