‘I am not afraid of lawsuits…’ SP MP Iqra Hasan got angry after FIR was registered, warned Yogi government
Kairana: The controversy that started over the Monu Kashyap murder case in Kairana, Uttar Pradesh is no longer just a law and order issue, but has turned into a big political conflict. The political atmosphere in Kairana and Uttar Pradesh has reached sky high ever since the police registered a case against Samajwadi Party’s flamboyant MP Iqra Hasan in this case.
After this swift action of the police, there has been a huge stir in the political circles. The ruling party and the opposition have completely come face to face on this issue. Meanwhile, MP Iqra Hasan has given her first reaction after the police case was registered. He has clearly said that all the allegations leveled against him are completely false and baseless. Iqra Hasan roared and said that she is not going to bow down to any kind of political pressure.
After all, what sparked the entire controversy?
Let us tell you what this whole matter is about. This entire controversy started on May 19. That day, Kairana MP Iqra Hasan had come along with the DIG to meet the DIG to provide justice to the family of the victim of the Monu Kashyap murder case that took place in Jasala village. Police allege that after coming out of the DIG office, the MP along with hundreds of his supporters completely affected the traffic system there and obstructed the official work of the police and administration.
Based on this uproar, the police took major action and registered a case under serious sections against 7 named people including MP Iqra Hasan and about 20 to 25 unidentified people. After this action of the police, huge resentment is being seen in the SP camp.
Akhilesh Yadav took command, asked for copy of FIR
After the case was registered, Kairana MP Iqra Hasan has launched a scathing attack on the Yogi government and the local administration. He said that this entire action has been taken only due to political malice and pressure, so that the voice of the opposition fighting for the people can be suppressed forever. Iqra Hasan told that Samajwadi Party National President and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav himself has taken cognizance of this entire matter. He has taken information about the entire incident over phone and has also asked for a copy of the FIR registered by the administration. Akhilesh Yadav himself has come out in support of Iqra Hasan in this matter.
MP Iqra Hasan bluntly said that no matter what tactics the administration adopts, it will not back down from its campaign to provide justice to the victims. She has announced that she will raise the issue of this entire injustice and police action directly in the Lok Sabha in the coming Parliament session. Along with this, a written complaint regarding this matter will also be made to the most senior police officers sitting in Lucknow. Iqra Hasan warned that if the administration thinks that they will scare them with such fake cases, then it is a big misconception.
Know which serious legal sections MPs are trapped in
To crack down on Iqra Hasan and her supporters, the police have registered a case under several serious sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). This FIR includes strict legal provisions related to obstructing government work, attempting to incite riot by blocking roads and preventing or intimidating on-duty public servants (government officials) from doing their work. In all these sections, there is a strict provision of jail sentence of different duration and heavy fine if found guilty, after which now there is a possibility of this legal battle reaching the court.
