Lucknow: Indian cricket great Sachin Tendulkar became emotional on the IPL debut of his son Arjun Tendulkar. After sitting on the bench for the entire season, Arjun got a chance in the last league match and he performed well and made his father proud.

Arjun’s great debut

Arjun Tendulkar is in the team of Lucknow Supergiants this season. He did not get a place in the playing eleven for 13 matches of the league, but he was given a chance in the last match of the league stage against Punjab Kings.

While bowling 4 overs, Arjun gave only 36 runs and also took 1 wicket. He was the most economical bowler of his team. Even after spending so many matches on the bench, he maintained patience and a positive attitude.

Sachin’s emotional message

Seeing this performance of his son, Sachin Tendulkar could not stop himself. At midnight he wrote a heart-touching post for Arjun on social media. Sachin wrote, “Well done Arjun! I am very proud of the way you handled yourself throughout this season. You believed in your abilities, remained patient, worked quietly and remained positive even while waiting for the opportunity.

Lucknow Supergiants defeat

Despite Arjun’s good performance, Lucknow Supergiants lost against Punjab Kings. Batting first, Lucknow scored 196 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs with the help of Josh Inglis and Ayush Badoni. In reply, Punjab Kings won the match thanks to the century of captain Shreyas Iyer.
