Husband Samarth’s statement during police interrogation
The accused husband Samarth Singh, who is on 7-day police remand, was interrogated intensively for about two hours at Katara Hills police station.
During police interrogation, Samarth has made many claims declaring himself innocent, however the police believe that he is giving misleading information to divert the investigation. Samarth told that after marriage their relations were normal. Twisha’s pregnancy was confirmed on 17 April 2026, after which her behavior started changing.
She reportedly said that she was from the glamor world and could not live a domestic life, after which she moved to Delhi-Noida. Later, after explaining, he was brought to Bhopal on 23 April.
It was told that Samarth had booked tickets to go to Bengaluru on April 24, but Twisha refused to go along and went to Nasirabad (Ajmer) to her brother. She returned to Bhopal on 30 April.
Samarth also narrated the incident of the night of May 12 to the police. She told that after returning from the parlor in the evening, both of us took a walk in the park and had dinner together.
At 8:30 pm we were watching TV in the room, after which Twisha went to the downstairs room to talk to her parents on the phone and I fell asleep. After some time, I got a call from my mother (retired judge Giribala Singh) and Twisha’s mother that Twisha was upset and crying.
When the mother went to the terrace and saw, Twisha had hanged herself with an exercise elastic belt. I handled her from below and mother loosened the noose.
Due to his heavy body, after a lot of effort, he was laid down on the bed and given CPR, but there was no movement. Then with the help of neighbors he was taken to AIIMS, where doctors declared him dead.
spent a restless night in the police station
Samarth Singh, who belongs to VIP background, spent his night in a very ordinary manner at Katara Hills police station. Due to the heat, he had asked for packed mineral water to drink, which was rejected by the police and he was given normal water. Due to lack of cooler in the room, the accused kept tossing and turning in the humidity throughout the night.
