Delhi Property Registration System: In the coming days, the property registration system in the country’s national capital Delhi will be completely changed. Rekha Gupta Government of Delhi has started preparing for this. The aim of changing the property registration system in Delhi is to make the sub-registrar offices modern, transparent and convenient for the people. The new system will eliminate delays, corruption and people’s dependence on agents.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta directed officials to implement major reforms in sub-registrar offices so that people can easily register their properties. CM said that the aim of the government is to convert these offices into such service centers which provide services to the people on time and without any hassle.

The Chief Minister had recently held a high-level meeting with senior officials to review the proposed reforms. Many companies gave presentations during the meeting. The Chief Minister said that the objective of these reforms is to eliminate the role of middlemen and reduce the loss of government revenue. He said that this system will help in eliminating the role of middlemen and reducing leakage of revenue. People will not have to depend on agents for government work. The government wants to create a system in which most of the work is done digitally. The government has indicated that detailed implementation plans will be drawn up after further discussions with stakeholders and technology partners.

The role of middlemen will end

According to the plan, sub-registrar offices will be developed on the lines of Passport Seva Kendras. These offices will have facilities like air conditioned waiting area, help desk, digital help counter, token system, clean toilets, drinking water facility and live tracking of applications. It aims to reduce long queues and facilitate the registration process.

Considerations on the use of modern technology

The Delhi government is also considering the use of modern technology to strengthen transparency and security in the system. Online appointment booking, advance verification of documents and live tracking of applications are expected to reduce the waiting time significantly. Technologies like AI-based face verification, blockchain-based security systems and digital record management can also be introduced to prevent fraud, safeguard property records and reduce disputes.
