Kolkata. BJP has achieved a big victory in the re-polling in Phalta Assembly of West Bengal. There is an atmosphere of celebration there over the victory of BJP candidate Debangsh Panda. From workers to leaders are congratulating him. Amidst the beating of drums and slogans, the workers congratulated the candidate and called it a big success for the organization. At the same time, after this victory, the statement of BJP candidate Debangshu Panda has come. He said that this victory is not ours but the victory of the people of Falta. Actually, Phalta assembly seat has been in the news a lot. From here, Jahangir Khan, close to Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee, was in the electoral fray. During the Bengal Assembly elections, BJP had made allegations of rigging on Phalta seat. At many booths, EVMs were hidden by putting tape in front of the BJP election symbol, after which the Election Commission took strict action and ordered re-polling on May 21. In the results declared on May 24, Debangshu Panda defeated the nearest candidate by 109021 votes.
West Bengal Chief Minister Subhendu Adhikari has made a scathing attack on Trinamool Congress while giving credit to the public for the victory of BJP candidate Debangshu Pandey by a margin of more than one lakh votes in the Phalta Assembly by-election. He said that the Diamond Harbor model has now become ‘Trinamool’s defeat-bar’ model. Expressing gratitude to the people of Phalta, Shubhendu Adhikari said that they have made the BJP candidate victorious with huge votes. He said that the debt of this victory will be repaid through development and is committed to make Phalta a ‘Golden Phalta’. He said that this victory is a clear message to those who were working like a mafia company, devoid of principles and ideology.
