Tamil Nadu Erupts Over The Rape And Murder Of An Innocent Girl In Coimbatore Kamal Haasan Expresses Anger Demands Strict Action From Cm Vijay

A heart-wrenching incident that came to light from Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu has shocked the entire state. In Sulur area here, a 10 year old innocent girl was kidnapped, sexually assaulted and then brutally murdered. There is huge outrage among the general public as well as in South Indian cinema and political circles after this heinous and brutal crime. Veteran actor Kamal Haasan’s blood is boiling over this incident. He has demanded the newly elected Chief Minister of the state Joseph Vijay to immediately intervene in this matter and send the culprits to the gallows.

Kamal Haasan demands fast track court and maximum punishment

Strongly condemning this inhuman act, actor and politician Kamal Haasan expressed condolences to the victim’s family and called for a strict stand regarding law and order. Kamal Haasan said in his statement, “The incident of sexual assault and murder of a 10-year-old girl is heart-wrenching. The culprits should be brought to justice through fast track courts and given maximum punishment. Appropriate compensation should be given to the family. Crimes against children and women should be cracked down on strictly.”

Chief Minister Joseph Vijay’s warning:

Amidst the huge outrage and demands rising from all sides, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay has strongly condemned this cruel and heinous incident. Expressing deep grief, he conveyed the message that such inhuman and criminal acts will never be tolerated in the state. He is fully involved in the grief of the family of the victim girl.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, Chief Minister Vijay issued an official statement saying that the Tamil Nadu government will take firm action to ensure that those indulging in such heinous acts against women and children are given the strictest punishment under the law. For this, the government is taking all immediate and necessary steps.

Innocent child had gone to buy goods from the shop, dead body found in the field; two accused arrested

Actually, this cruel incident was carried out when an innocent 10 year old girl had gone out to buy some goods from a shop located near her house. She did not return for a long time and went missing, so her worried family lodged a missing complaint at the police station the same night. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the police immediately started investigation. During the search, the girl’s body was recovered from a deserted field near Kannampalayam lake in Sulur.

After the body was found, the police took immediate action and arrested two accused involved in this heinous crime. The arrested accused have been identified as Karthik and Mohanraj. The police have registered a case against both the criminals under the POCSO Act and serious sections of murder. After appearing in the court, both the accused have been sent to jail in judicial custody. Considering the sensitivity of the matter, the state government has ordered a speedy investigation into the matter.
