According to an official statement from the Federation of Western India Cine Employees, the complaint was filed through the Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA), of which Farhan Akhtar is a member. The film body said that it has taken a decision only after careful consideration of the issue and the circumstances in which it was raised and it will be formally announced at a press conference on Monday evening. The statement further said that after studying the complaint and the circumstances surrounding it, FWICE will officially discuss the matter in a press conference and share its stand and decision. The press conference is expected to take place on Monday at around 4 pm.

Why did Ranveer Singh leave Don 3?

The controversy started in December 2025 when Ranveer Singh left the project after being contracted for almost two years for Don 3. The actor told that he had decided to change the script as per the original story. This incident, which happened after the tremendous success of Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, also made it a topic of discussion.

According to sources, Farhan Akhtar and his production partner Ritesh Sidhwani said that considering Ranveer’s commitment towards the film, they have already invested a lot in the pre-production of Don 3. The producers also claimed that Ranveer kept postponing the film till the last minute due to problems in the shooting date of the film and finally left the film.
