IND vs AFG: Manav Suthar’s blast in the debut test, taking 6 wickets and reducing Afghanistan to 152; India followed up
Suthar, who took three wickets on the second day, continued his excellent performance on the third day as well. He took 6 wickets for 33 runs and proved to be the biggest challenge for the Afghan batsmen. The special thing was that while the other spinners were not getting much help from the pitch, Suthar was continuously getting turn and bounce. Bowling at a speed of around 90 kilometers per hour, he continuously troubled the batsmen.
Manav Suthar leads the way with a magnificent 6️⃣-wicket haul 👏#TeamIndia have a huge first-innings lead of 412 runs and have enforced the follow-on 😊

Manav Suthar took 6 wickets
At the beginning of the day, Afghanistan’s hopes were pinned on Rahmat Shah. Rahmat batted with restraint and completed his half-century in 100 balls and tried to take control of the team. But Suthar ended his innings also. Rahmat missed while trying to play a sweep shot and the ball passed between his bat and pad and hit the stumps. This was Afghanistan’s eighth wicket and from here their innings rapidly disintegrated.
The fifth one always hits different 🌟
A moment Manav Suthar will replay for the rest of his life 🎞️

Earlier, Suthar had Sharafuddin Ashraf caught by the wicketkeeper. Ashraf was struggling with injury and Suthar took full advantage of his weakness. After this, he also dismissed Mohammad Salim and completed his six-wicket haul.
Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna also made an important contribution. He dismissed Azmatullah Umarzai with a brilliant ball. Umarzai left a big gap between the bat and the pad and the ball came inside and took his wicket. Mohammad Siraj also bowled tightly, while Washington Sundar ended Afghanistan’s innings by taking the wicket of Ziaur Rahman.
Kuldeep Yadav and Sundar maintained the pressure, but the day was entirely in Suthar’s name. He proved the faith of the Indian team management right by taking six wickets in his very first Test. Now Afghanistan will have to fight hard in the second innings to avoid an innings defeat, while India is standing just a few steps away from winning the match.
