Marathi Film Corporation Election News Marathi : All India Marathi Film Corporation The Samarth panel led by producer Meghraj Rajebhosale has won a resounding victory in the elections for the five-year term from 2026 to 2031, establishing a single-handed dominance. In the elections for the five-year period from 2026 to 2031, the Samarth panel completely defeated the opposition Chitrakarmi panel. Out of the 17 seats in the corporation, three seats were elected unopposed, while 14 seats were directly contested. By winning all 14 seats, Meghraj Rajebhosale once again established his dominance over the corporation. However, the contest was very close in some segments, with the margin of victory being only 40 to 50 votes.

Several prominent figures from the opposition Chitrakarmi panel including actor Anand Kale, writer Pitambar Kale, producer Ganesh Talekar, director Satish Ranadive, art director Satish Bidkar, producers Vijay Shinde and Ranjit Jadhav were defeated. Chitrakarmi panel could not win a single seat. Voters also rejected 16 independent candidates contesting the election and members voted in favor of the ruling party. Meghraj Bhosle and Sunil Mahajan won in the producer category from the Samarth panel. Deepak Kadam and Ajit Shirole won in the director category, Raj Kaji in the writer category, Sushant Shelar in the actor category, Dhanaji Yamkar in the photography category, Subhash Mapa in the dance category, Sharad Chavan in the sound recording category, Praveen Patil in the art direction category, Chaitrali Dongre in the costume category, Ravindra Gawade in the production management category, Ganesh Gargote in the distribution category and Vikas Torane in the labor category.
The Chitrakarmi panel had opened an alliance against the ruling party. The panel consisted of Vijay Shinde and Ganesh Talekar from the producer category, Vijay Rane and Satish Randive from the director category, Pitambar Kale from the writer category, Anand Kale from the actor category, Mahesh Deshpande from the photography category, Milind Ashtekar from the production management category, Nilesh Butte from the sound engineering category, Sadanand Suryavanshi from the makeup category, Prakash Jadhav from the distribution category, Anil Sutar from the choreography category, Satish Bidkar from the art department and workers. Ranjit Jadhav was included from the category, but all of them lost.
A large number of independent candidates also contested the election and an attempt was made to set up a third panel, but it failed. Meanwhile, actress Varsha Usgaonkar from the actress category, Vijay Khochikar from the editor category and singer Anand Shinde from the singer category were also elected unopposed. Vijay Khochikar and Anand Shinde were the nominees in the Samarth panel, while Varsha Usgaonkar was one of the key figures associated with the cinematography panel.
