Woman kept awake during brain surgery, kept watching Pawan Kalyan’s film in the operation theater

Pawan Kalyan Movie in Operation Theatre: A very interesting and inspiring case from the medical world has come to light from Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. Here, during the complex surgery of a woman suffering from brain tumor, the doctors adopted a method which caught everyone’s attention. At the time of the operation, the woman was fully conscious and was watching her favorite actor Pawan Kalyan’s film OG.

Koteswaramma, 45, was admitted to the hospital after she complained of repeated fainting and seizures. Upon examination and an MRI scan, doctors discovered a tumor in his brain, which was located very close to a sensitive part of the brain that controls body movements and other important neurological functions.

Woman watched Pawan Kalyan’s film during brain surgery

Considering the condition of the tumor, doctors decided to adopt a special neurosurgical procedure called Awake Craniotomy. In this technique, the patient is not made completely unconscious during the operation, rather he is kept in an awake state so that the doctor can continuously monitor the functioning of his brain.

Before the surgery, doctors learned that Koteshwarma was a big fan of actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. To keep the patient comfortable and calm, his favorite movie OG was played in the operation theatre.

The entire medical team was appreciated after the successful surgery.

Koteshwarma kept answering the doctors’ questions while watching Pawan Kalyan’s film. During the surgery, the medical team kept asking him from time to time to move his arms and legs and follow general instructions. Based on their responses, doctors continued to monitor vital parts of the brain and were successful in removing the tumor safely.

This complex operation was led by neurosurgeon Dr Padmanabhuni Arun Kumar. After the successful surgery, the hospital management praised the entire medical team and described it as a great example of modern medical technology and patient-centric care. This matter has now become a topic of discussion on social media, where people are praising the efficiency of the doctors and the courage of the patient.
