Jodhpur: A very shocking incident has come to light from Jodhpur, Rajasthan which is scaring the smartphone users. Here in Mandore Krishi Mandi area on Monday afternoon, the mobile phone kept in the pant pocket of a grocer suddenly exploded like a bomb. The blast was so powerful that the mobile instantly caught fire, causing severe burns to the businessman’s thigh and hand. After the accident, there was an outcry on the spot and even the victim’s skin got torn off.

39-year-old victim businessman Gopal Soni, resident of Lal Sagar area, told that on Monday afternoon at around 3:30 pm, he was checking something at the counter of his shop. Usually he keeps his phone in his shirt pocket, but that day because he was wearing a T-shirt, his mobile was in his pant pocket. With a sudden loud explosion, his pants caught fire and smoke started coming out. Screaming in pain, when he tried to take out the burning phone from his pocket, his fingers also got badly burnt.

Fellow traders took him to the hospital, treatment continues in the burn ward.
Hearing the sound of the explosion and the scream of the victim, other traders present in the shop immediately ran to help. He immediately handled Gopal and took him to the Satellite Hospital of Mandore, from where due to his critical condition, he was referred to the special burn ward of Mahatma Gandhi Hospital on Tuesday morning. At present, his treatment is going on under the supervision of the plastic surgeon of the hospital.
The phone neither heated up nor was on charging throughout the night.
This accident has increased the concern of smartphone users because according to the victim, there was no sign of heating or malfunction in the phone before the blast. Gopal had purchased this Vivo company mobile about 2 years ago and at the time of the accident it was only 87% charged. Traders of the entire market are scared due to this sudden explosion in the pocket without any warning.
