Kim Myung-soo and Kang Min-ah’s ‘Empathy Cells’ Unveils New Poster Ahead of July Premiere

The new poster of Korean romance drama Empathy Cells (Love in Sync), which is soon going to premiere on 4th July, has arrived to refresh the eyes of the fans with a new look at the lead stars, Kim Myung-soo and Kang Min-ah. The series has been creating a lot of buzz among the K-drama fans since it has a unique fantasy romance concept and has two popular actors playing.

In Empathy Cells, official drama info states that the story is about renowned psychological counselor Cha Eun-hwan who is extremely sensitive to the emotions of others. He is able to help others work through their emotions, but can’t deal with his own. His life suddenly changes when he meets with actress Yoo Ji-an, a former top idol who’s been disapproved of for her “emotional coldness. In an inexplicable way, the two start communicating with one another’s emotions, which causes them to experience emotions they’ve been suppressing for long.

Kim Myung-soo plays Cha Eun-hwan and Kang Min-ah plays Yoo Ji-an. New stills and promotional material show the difference between the characters, with Eun-hwan’s empathy being overwhelming while Ji-an’s apparently is lacking. The drama delves into themes of healing, self-discovery, and romance, revealing a unique emotional connection between the main characters.

Other members of the cast include Kwon So-hyun, Cha Min-ji, Shin Woo-gyeom, Kang Pil-joon, Kim Da-hye, Ok Yoon-joong, Jang Sung-won, Kim Yi-hyun and Park Chae-won. The series is being directed by Kim Chil-bong, who previously directed the TV series Numbers. Notably among the many, Empathy Cells is the next collaboration between Kim Chil-bong and Kim Myung-soo after Numbers.

The new poster is soft and romantic with the two leading roles surrounded by bright pink and purple colors and looking at each other. The promotional slogan hints at an emotional romance that plays out when concealed emotions can no longer be suppressed.
