Heavy rains and storms in 25 states including Delhi-UP in the next 7 days, big alert from Meteorological Department

For the countrymen troubled by the scorching heat and severe heat wave, a big and relief news is coming from the weather front. South-West Monsoon has gained its pace in India and is rapidly covering large parts of the country. According to the latest bulletin of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon has hit many parts of the Arabian Sea as well as most areas of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Meteorologists have issued a warning saying that within the next 7 days, about 25 states of the country from North to South and North-East will see torrential rains, hailstorms and strong thunderstorms along with severe thunder.

New western disturbance becomes active, warning of hailstorm in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan

The next few days may prove to be very turbulent for the people living in the plains of North India. According to the Meteorological Department, a new and very powerful Western Disturbance is becoming active in the mountains. Due to its effect, the weather patterns in the country’s capital Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan will completely change on June 11 and 12. There is a possibility of destructive dust storm in these states at a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour and heavy hailstorm in many areas. After this, between June 11 and 14, there will be light to moderate rainfall in all these states, due to which there will be a huge drop in temperature and people will get great relief from the heat.

A different form of nature is going to be seen in the states of Central and Eastern India also. Talking about the weather of Uttar Pradesh, there will be rain and thundershowers between 10th and 14th June, whereas in Eastern UP, an alert has been issued for especially strong thunderstorm and heavy rain on 12th June. In Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, there will be dark clouds and heavy showers between June 9 and 14. Heavy rains are expected in the neighboring state of Bihar on June 10 to 12 and in Odisha on June 11-12. At the same time, there is a danger of severe thunderstorm and lightning in the Ganga coastal areas of Jharkhand and West Bengal between June 10 and 12.

Snowfall and rain in the mountains from Jammu and Kashmir to Uttarakhand, strong winds will blow in the plains.

IMD has also issued necessary guidelines for tourists and local people visiting the mountains. There is every possibility of heavy rain with strong thunderstorms in the hilly states of Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh on June 11 and 12. This movement in the mountains will have a direct impact on the plains as well. Strong and cold winds will continue to blow in the areas of Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Western Rajasthan during June 13 and 14, due to which the weather will remain pleasant.

Severe form of monsoon in South India, red alert like situation in Karnataka and Kerala

While there will be thunderstorms in North India, the states of South India are being drenched in monsoon rains. Monsoon has become fully active in Kerala and Karnataka, due to which orange and red alert of heavy to very heavy rain has been issued in many districts today on June 9. Continuous torrential rains will continue over parts of coastal and interior Karnataka till June 11. Along with this, there is a possibility of strong winds at the speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour and torrential rains along with thunderstorms till June 12 in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.

There is a possibility of disaster like rain, flood like situation for the next 7 days in these 7 states of North-East.

Monsoon is currently at its most ferocious in North-East India and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. The Meteorological Department has made it clear in its report that there is a strong possibility of continuous heavy to extremely heavy rains in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura for the next 7 days i.e. till June 14. Due to this continuous torrential rain, situations like landslides in hilly areas and floods in low-lying areas can arise, in view of which the local administration has been instructed to be fully prepared.
