Your SIM can be blocked even after having balance, crores of users do not know these important rules
SIM Card Recharge Tips: In today’s time, mobile number is not only a means of calling but is also linked to banking, OTP, UPI and social media accounts. But in many cases it has been seen that despite having balance in the mobile, their SIM card suddenly stops working. The surprising thing in such a case is that not recharging is not the reason behind it but there is a rule about which most of the users are not aware.
There is a big difference between balance and validity
People generally think that if there is money in the mobile account then the number remains active, but in prepaid connection, not only the balance but also the validity of the plan is considered equally important. Balance simply shows the money in the account but validity determines whether you can make calls, access the internet or use services and once the validity expires the number goes into a grace period. This period usually ranges from 15 to 30 days. Only after which the number shows danger of permanent closure.
Easy trick to keep number active at low cost
Very few people know that telecom companies also offer such low-cost recharge plans whose purpose is only to increase validity. However, the price of these plans usually ranges between Rs 10 to Rs 50. In which much data or unlimited calling is not available but the number remains active. Such plans are often available in the Top-Up, Value Recharge or Special Recharge section of the telecom companies’ apps.
Save numbers and money by setting reminders
In such a situation, the easiest way to prevent the mobile number from getting deactivated is to set a reminder 3-4 days before the validity ends. With this, proper recharge can be done on time. It is also worth noting that if the SIM is not in use for a long time and gets switched off later, then the balance remaining in the account may also become useless. In most cases, companies do not even give refund of this amount.

Just give 1 minute every month
It is advisable that just like you check your bank balance regularly, you also check the validity of your mobile number once a month. For which almost all telecom apps give validity information on the home screen itself. By taking this small step, your number can remain safe in which a small recharge will save you from the trouble of getting a new SIM and the loss of the amount in the account.
