Adani Defense acquires FSTC: ₹820 crore deal, pilot training, aviation expansion
Adani Defense Systems has significantly expanded its aviation training sector by acquiring a majority stake in FSTC. This Rs 820 crore deal will strengthen simulation, flight training and defense training facilities, thereby enhancing India’s capacity to produce skilled pilots.
Adani Group: Adani Defense Systems has recently strengthened its presence in the aviation sector by acquiring a majority stake in Flight Simulation Technology Center (FSTC). The enterprise value of this deal has been found to be Rs 820 crore. This transfer is considered an important step for Adani Group towards training and skill development in both civil and defense sectors.
Adani Defense Systems and Technologies Limited (ADSTL) along with Prime Arrow Services (PAS) has acquired a majority stake in FSTC. The move clearly reflects the Group’s investment direction in aviation, defense and high-tech training infrastructure. This deal not only reflects Adani Group’s expansion strategy in the aviation sector, but will also enhance the standards and capability of training services in India.
FSTC gets global recognition
Flight Simulation Technology Center is India’s largest independent flight training and simulation company. It has 11 advanced full-flight simulators and 17 training aircraft. FSTC has received certifications from DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) and EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency). These certifications have given global recognition to the company’s training standards.
FSTC has simulation centers in Gurugram and Hyderabad, and plans to further expand its capacity. After this transfer, Adani Group will have a wide network of training areas with modern facilities.
Practical training through flying schools
Apart from simulation, FSTC also runs flying schools in Bhiwani and Narnaul in Haryana. These schools train commercial and defense pilots, creating skilled aviation professionals for India. These schools are equipped with modern training equipment and flight simulators, which ensure pilot safety and efficiency.
This transfer holds special significance for the Adani Group as it enables the Group to provide pilot training and mission rehearsal services in both civil and defense sectors.
Adani’s grand plan
According to Adani Enterprises, simulator-based training provides an important opportunity in the field of defense pilot training. This method reduces training costs and increases safety and efficiency. Adani Defense and Aerospace CEO Ashish Rajvanshi said the transfer is a natural next step in the group’s strategy to create a fully integrated aviation services platform.
With the addition of FSTC, Adani Group will now be able to provide civil aircraft maintenance, general aviation MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul), defense MRO and flight training services simultaneously. This step will prove to be crucial in the group’s expansion plans for aviation and defense sectors.
Benefits to India’s aviation sector
In the coming years, Indian airlines are expected to acquire more than 1,500 aircraft, which will increase the demand for certified pilots. The partnership between FSTC and Adani will strengthen the pilot training network and create skilled aviation professionals for the country.
Additionally, the government’s emphasis on advanced training and mission rehearsal for defense pilots is creating new opportunities in military simulation and training services. Through this transfer, Adani Group will help train the next generation of Indian defense pilots and contribute to realizing the national security vision.
