Adani Group Vizhinjam Port Expansion: Adani Group will expand Vizhinjam Port, Kerala government extended the agreement

Adani Group Vizhinjam Port Expansion : The Kerala government has extended the agreement with Adani Group for the expansion of Vizhinjam Port for 5-years. According to reports, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday announced the signing of a supplementary concession agreement between the state government and Adani Vizhinjam Port Pvt Ltd to ensure the future development of the international port, the first phase of which is now underway. It is going to be operational next month. Chief Minister Vijayan said, “₹10,000 crore will be invested for the second-third phase of the port… It will be completed by 2028.”

Envisioned as a transformational step in maritime infrastructure, the project will increase the port's capacity by 3 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU).
