Appeared in 5 T20 WC, Pakistan Veteran set to retire after 2024-25 domestic season

Aleem Dar, a well respected umpire also awarded with the World Cricket Umpire of the year award three times, has shared his plan to retire from international umpiring in 2025. He will be retiring after the end of the Pakistan domestic season.

56-year-old Aleem has been a well known figure in the panel of ICC’s elite umpires, with him serving from 2003 to 2023.

Aleem is active on Pakistan’s elite Panel as of now, and is one of the four Pakistani umpires on the international panel of ICC. being a member of this panel grants him to officiate Ode-Day internationals and T20 matches.

“All great journeys must eventually come to an end, and the time has come for me to focus fully on my social and charity work,” Dar said, as quoted by Sports Star.

“My hospital project and other initiatives are very close to my heart and require my full devotion and attention,” he added.
