Arrest Rahul Gandhi, he said, instead of Sharad Pawar, says Ranjit Savarkar, referring to the Ketki Chitale case
Bharat Jodo Yatra Maharashtra Rahul Gandhi: Ranjit Savarkar has demanded the arrest of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for insulting freedom fighter Savarkar. Savarkar’s great-grandson Ranjit Savarkar has also demanded that Uddhav Thackeray clarify his position regarding Savarkar. Also, while talking to ‘ABP Maja’, he has clarified that it is not the demand of our family that Savarkar should be given Bharat Ratna.
“Rahul Gandhi believes that if he defames Savarkar, he will get votes. But through this they are defaming a patriot by making false allegations against him. They have done such ventures before,” he criticized. He has also said that he is lodging a complaint at Dadar police station.
“Rahul Gandhi should be arrested. Because in Maharashtra, an actress was kept in jail for a month for retweeting a tweet on Sharad Pawar. Therefore, if Savarkar is insulted like this in Maharashtra, action should be taken against him.
He further said that if Rahul Gandhi has taken out the yatra for election campaign, then he should take it out. But if this is only an attempt to insult the patriots, then this yatra should be banned. Congress has taken this step. When Sharad Pawar is criticized, that person goes to jail. The defamation of Sharad Pawar was also wrong. But the justice that has been done in his case should be done in the case of Rahul Gandhi. The law does not care whether the offender is young or old. Savarkar is definitely bigger than Sharad Pawar.”
“What right does Sanjay Raut have to demand Bharat Ratna from moneylenders. Your fellow parties are insulting Savarkar everyday. When he wrote the obscene article, I went to meet the then Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. I was refused a meeting. It is also not polite to reply to a given letter. You just can’t tell your mates. You are facing defamation in the greed of power. He said, “Our family has neither demanded nor will make any demand for Bharat Ratna.”
