Auraiya. A youth seriously injured in a road accident that took place late Saturday evening under the Bundelkhand Expressway in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh died during treatment. A young man living and working in Delhi had come to the village these days. There is chaos in the family after receiving information about the accident. Sanjay Kumar, son of Ajab Singh, resident of village Malalpur Nigda of Sadar Kotwali area, used to work at a petrol pump while living in Delhi. He had come to the village to visit his family for a few days. Late on Saturday evening, he was returning from Auraiya to his village on a motorcycle. As soon as he reached under the Bundelkhand Expressway, an unknown vehicle hit his motorcycle hard. Sanjay got seriously injured in the accident and fell on the road. Passersby immediately informed the police and took him to Auraiya District Hospital.
Seeing his serious condition, the doctors in the hospital after providing first aid referred him to Saifai Medical College. The family members were taking him to Saifai in an ambulance, when on the way his condition suddenly started deteriorating. The family members immediately took him to CHC Ajitmal, where doctors declared Sanjay dead after examination. As soon as information about the incident was received, Kotwal Lalitesh Tripathi reached CHC with the team. He told that the accident took place in Auraiya area and the youth died on the way while being referred to Saifai. The police have filled the Panchnama of the body and sent it for post-mortem. Further legal action will be taken by Sadar Kotwali. As soon as the news of the accident reached the village, Sanjay’s wife Pooja, parents and family members were in tears. A wave of mourning has spread throughout the village. Police have started searching for the unknown driver. The family members have also demanded strict action against the accused driver.
