UP State Women’s Commission strict on songs against women’s dignity
Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh State Women’s Commission has taken a tough stand regarding the alleged objectionable song against the dignity of women. Commission Vice Chairperson Aparna Yadav has written a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in this matter, demanding a ban on the programs of singer Badshah.
In her letter, Aparna Yadav said that indecent expressions and indecent scenes towards women have been presented in singer Badshah’s album “Tatiri”. It is alleged that the song has depicted girl students wearing school uniform in an inappropriate manner and derogatory words have been used for a sacred place like school. According to the Commission, this is not only against the dignity of women but is also an insult to the education system and social values.
It is also mentioned in the letter that in this case, information has been received that FIR has been registered against the singer under sections 3, 4 and 296 of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and Look Out Circular (LOC) has been issued against him.
The Vice President said in his letter that in Indian culture, women have been given the place of ‘Narayani’. In such a situation, organizing a program featuring an artist presenting such objectionable material will send a wrong message to the society and will hurt cultural values.
In view of this, he has requested the Chief Minister to issue instructions to all the District Magistrates of Uttar Pradesh that no proposed program or show of singer Badshah should be allowed in the state.
