Farmers should adopt organic farming, avoid use of chemical fertilizers: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma
Jalore. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Thursday took a morning walk in Panseri village of Jalore district and inquired about Rama Shyama and his well-being from the villagers. At the same time, after talking to small children going to school, they gave chocolates and toffees and encouraged them to get good education.
After the morning walk, the Chief Minister interacted with the villagers at the village Chauhata (the main center of the village Chaupal). Also, after listening to their various development demands, the Chief Minister directed the District Collector to take necessary action. During this, Government Chief Whip Jogeshwar Garg, Minister of State for Industry and Commerce K.K. Vishnoi along with local public representatives and district administration officials were present.
Earlier, Chief Minister Sharma interacted with farmers and cattle herders in the Gram Vikas Choupal program in Panseri, Jalore. He said that the state government has prepared a roadmap for the development of the state as per the expectations of the common people, so that Rajasthan is established as a model state. In this sequence, our government is preparing a blue print for the planned development of every Panchayat of the state by running the Chief Minister’s Development Village-Ward Campaign.
He said that the state government has taken important steps by giving top priority to the need of electricity and water. To fulfill the irrigation needs of farmers, the works of Ramjal Setu Link Project have been speeded up. Along with Yamuna Water Treaty, Indira Gandhi Canal Project and strengthening of Ganga Canal, work is being done at a rapid pace on Mahi and Dewas projects. Water will come into Jawai Dam through Som-Kamala-Amba project, which will also supply water to the people of Jalore, Pali and Sirohi.
The Chief Minister said that electricity is being supplied to the farmers of 24 districts during day time, which will be available across the state by the year 2027.
The Chief Minister said that our government is committed to making agriculture profitable. Farmers should irrigate with drip-sprinklers, adopt organic farming and avoid using chemical fertilizers. The young generation should also join agriculture in greater numbers and make it a means of employment. The Chief Minister said that the state government is going to organize the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (Gram-2026) for farmers from 23 to 25 May. In this connection, Gram Vikas Raths are being operated across the state. Chief Minister Sharma had dinner at the house of Bhemaram Bhil after the end of the Gram Vikas Chaupal program in Panseri village of Jalore district on Wednesday. During this, the Chief Minister had a cordial meeting with all the family members and talked to them.
