Female policemen in plain uniform came to control the miscreants, 5 miscreants caught in decoy operation

Chittorgarh. Under the Women Safety Resolution Campaign, Chittorgarh Police has arrested 5 miscreants who were making obscene comments and making statements on women and girl students by conducting a decoy operation in the city and Nimbahera.

Women police deployed in plain uniform took action in public places and arrested the accused for disturbing the peace.

Chittorgarh Superintendent of Police Manish Tripathi said that on the instructions of DGP Rajasthan, a decoy operation was conducted near public places, schools and colleges regarding women’s safety.

Under the supervision of ASP Mukul Sharma and DSP Brijesh Singh, a joint team of Sadar Chittorgarh, Mahila Police Station, Kotwali Chittorgarh, Kotwali Nimbahera and Kalika Patrolling Unit was formed.

Women police teams in plain clothes carried out surveillance near crowded areas, railway stations, schools, colleges and parks in Chittorgarh city and Nimbahera town.

The miscreants who were making obscene gestures at the women and girls passing by were caught on the spot.

The Superintendent of Police said that during interrogation, the accused got angry and started quarreling with the police personnel and became bent on fighting. On this all five were arrested under section 126-170 BNSS.

In the city, the police arrested Amit son of Prem Desai, resident of Segwa Housing Board, Narendra son of Kaluram Teli, resident of Chikarda Hall Padanpole, Shahrukh son of Shahnawaz, resident of Nimbahera Kachchi Basti, Akil son of Chand Mohammad, resident of Ishaqabad and Ajay son of Srichandra Maratha, resident of Kachchi Basti.

The police team informed the women to download Rajcop Citizen App in case of emergency and various helpline numbers including women helpline 1090. The SP said that strict action will continue against those who misbehave with women.
