Cerelac material can be made at home for small children and how to make it?
Cerelac: To ensure proper weight gain of small children, one has to take utmost care of their diet. Especially, Cerelac is given to small children to introduce solid food after six months. If you do not want to feed packaged cerelac to your children, you can make it at home. Come, let us know which ingredients are used to make cerelac and how to make it at home?
Ingredients to make Cerelac:
Half cup cashew nuts, half cup almonds, one cup rice, one cup ragi, half gram dal, half cup sago, half cup wheat.
What is the correct way to make cerelac?
Step 1: To make cerelac, first turn on the gas and place a pan on it. Now fry cashew nuts, almonds, rice, ragi, gram dal, sago and wheat one by one on medium flame.
Second step: While roasting, keep the flame on slow flame. All these should be just light golden and should not be burnt. Once cooled, check whether they are fried well from inside or not.
Step 3: If your child is allergic to nuts, then do not use cashews and almonds. Instead of that, use multigrains like moong dal, urad dal and red gram.
Fourth Step: When all the ingredients cool down, grind them well in a mixer jar. Now keep the cerelac in an air tight container.
Step 5: To feed cerelac to the baby, pour a glass of water in a big vessel. Now add half cup cerelac and cook well on slow flame.
Step 6: When cooked, turn off the gas. If your child is above one and a half years then you can add some honey to it.
