Ashish Mishra gets bail in Lakhimpur Kheri violence case, HC imposes these conditions, stay away from UP and Delhi
Lakhimpur Kheri case accused Ashish Mishra has been granted interim bail by the Supreme Court with conditions, the court has said that at present Ashish is being released for 8 weeks. The same court has directed Ashish Mishra to inform the concerned court about his location. Also Ashish will have to leave Uttar Pradesh within 1 week of his release, he cannot stay in Delhi for the time being.
Tell that on October 3, 2021, farmers were protesting against the visit of Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya in Tikonia, Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. It is alleged that Ashish Mishra’s car ran over the protesting farmers, in which four farmers were killed. After this, the protesters attacked the people riding the SUV, in which the driver of the car and two BJP workers were killed. A total of eight people lost their lives in the case, including the death of a journalist during the violence. Ashish Mishra is the main accused in this case.
Can bail continue further?
The Supreme Court has agreed that monitoring of this sensitive matter is necessary, in such a situation, the Supreme Court has asked the Lakhimpur court to keep sending the progress report of the case to it regularly. The Supreme Court has also said that after the completion of the period of 8 weeks, on March 14, it will review the interim bail order granted to Ashish. After that it will be decided whether the bail can continue further or not.
