Atiq’s lawyer accused of extortion of three crores


Prayagraj. A person named Saeed Ahmed has filed a case against Atiq Ahmed’s advocate Vijay Mishra at the Atarsuiya police station alleging that he had demanded extortion of three crore rupees.

Police sources said on Tuesday that Saeed Ahmed, a resident of Dariyabad, has a plywood shop in Muthiganj. Saeed alleges that Vijay Mishra has demanded extortion of three crores while threatening Atiq’s henchmen.

In his complaint letter, he has also accused Vijay Mishra of threatening to kill him. He said that Saeed filed the case on Saturday.

Saeed says that he has a recording of the telephonic conversation which he can produce as evidence.

Vijay Mishra has threatened to kill himself, the police is probing the matter.
