On Friday, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed Azhar Ali, former Pakistani captain, as the director of youth development. According to the PCB, the new function was occupied after carrying out the recruitment process. Apart from being a member of the management selection committee of men’s national team Azhar Ali would also take the position of director of youth development. PCB said that, Introduction youth entrepreneurship in cricket will be assigned to Azhar.

As for Azhar, he spoke about his new position and revealed that he is both proud and very happy to carry out the duties that come with it.

Khan took the reins of the team in ODIs and for the next two years, from 2015 until 2017, he went through a very difficult period in the team’s cricket career, after reaching number 9 in the world rankings. He did not play in any T20 games and the last ODI for the Pakistan side came in January 2018.
