Bajaj, Norton and Royal Enfield will bring powerful adventure bikes! A new explosion in the adventure bike market in India!
Adventure motorcycles are rapidly growing in popularity in the Indian two-wheeler market. Many consumers are now turning to adventure bikes for long-distance travel, rough road runs and off-roading experiences. Currently models like KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and BMW F 450 GS have established a strong position in this segment. However, this market is going to become more colorful in the coming months. Because Bajaj, Royal Enfield and TVS-owned British company Norton Motorcycles are all set to enter the field with new models.
Royal Enfield This year, it is planning to introduce two important adventure bikes, Himalayan 440 and Himalayan 750 in the Indian market. The Himalayan 440 will slot in between the company’s Scram 440 and Himalayan 450. Although the bike will share the same engine and platform as the Scram 440, its design will be inspired by the old Himalayan 411. So it can be an attractive option for traditional Himalayan fans.

On the other hand, the Himalayan 750 is considered to be Royal Enfield’s most advanced adventure bike ever. It was recently seen testing near the company’s manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu. It has been revealed that the bike will make its global debut at the prestigious EICMA Motor Show in Italy in 2026. Interestingly, for the first time in the history of Royal Enfield, the bike will get dual disc brakes at the front. The newly developed 750 cc twin-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine can produce around 55 to 60 bhp of power.
Meanwhile, Bajaj Auto It is also gearing up to make a big leap into the adventure segment. The company’s new adventure motorcycle was recently spotted testing on Indian roads. Observers believe that its design is similar to the KTM 390 Enduro. This bike is likely to enter the market by the end of 2026. As it was spotted alongside the Pulsar N250 during testing, the new bike is expected to use the same 249 cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine. This engine produces 24.1 bhp of power and 21.5 Nm of torque.

British brand Norton Motorcycles, which is now owned by TVS Motor Company, will also be bringing two adventure bikes, the Atlas and the Atlas GT, to India. Both these motorcycles will be manufactured at TVS’ factory in Tamil Nadu. The Atlas GT will be a more road-biased touring version. It will get 17-inch alloy wheels and road-worthy tyres, while the standard Atlas gets 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels.
Both the Norton bikes will be powered by a 585 cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine. The engine will produce around 70 bhp of power and will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.
Overall, the adventure bike segment in India is set to become more competitive and exciting in the next two years. The new models from Royal Enfield, Bajaj and Norton are likely to give consumers more options, while the adventure tourism culture in the country is also likely to get a big boost.
