The name of this film, being produced by Aamir Khan and directed by veteran director Rajkumar Santoshi, was earlier in discussion as ‘Lahore 1947’, which has now been changed to ‘Partition 1947’. While sharing the first look of this period drama film on social media, Sunny has also announced its release date, due to which the enthusiasm of cinema lovers has reached the seventh sky.

The film will be released on August 14

‘Partition 1947’ will hit the theaters this year on the special occasion of Independence Day i.e. on 14th August. The special thing is that the Government of India celebrates this day as ‘Partition Disaster Remembrance Day’ from the year 2021, which is very appropriate in terms of the theme of the film. However, Sunny Deol’s path at the box office will not be so easy because Emraan Hashmi’s much awaited film ‘Awarapan 2’ is also releasing on the same day. In such a situation, this year on the Independence Day weekend, there will be a huge fight between two big superstars at the box office.

According to reports, this film is based on famous writer Asghar Wajahat’s famous play ‘Jis Lahore Nayi Vekhya, O Jamya Hi Nayi’, and Asghar himself has written its dialogues.
