Big decision of Jharkhand government, if gas is not received on time then agency’s login ID will be closed.
Jharkhand: There is a relief and important news for the LPG consumers of Jharkhand. The Central Government has taken a big step to make the delay in domestic LPG cylinders completely transparent in the state. According to the new and strict instructions of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, if an LPG gas distributor is not able to deliver the cylinder to the consumer’s home within 7 days after booking, then the digital operating system of that agency will be locked by the oil companies with immediate effect.
More than 50 thousand delivery pending
According to government data, more than 50 thousand cases of indane gas have been reported in Jharkhand. Where the cylinder is pending even after 7 days of booking. The situation in the capital Ranchi is most worrying, where about 7 thousand consumers have not been able to get home delivery of gas within the stipulated time limit. After the start of the tightening, in recent times, due to the special campaign of oil companies and distributors, there is a rapid improvement in this backlog.
Lockout will be imposed for repeated violation of rules
Under the rules of the ministry, if the backlog increases, the distributor will get a chance to give clarification in the first instance. If the delay in delivery is due to any special circumstance or technical reason, Indian Oil Corporation may temporarily unlock the system. If the distributor’s explanation is found unsatisfactory or he repeatedly ignores this rule, his entire system will be permanently shut down. After the system is locked, the agency will neither be able to take new bookings nor make any deliveries.
Old exemption withdrawn as soon as situation improves
This strict rule of delivery was already in place with the oil companies. But recently, due to the geopolitical crisis in the Middle East, the global supply chain was affected, in view of which the oil companies had temporarily given some relief from this rule to the gas distributors.
LPG supply completely normal
Now the supply of LPG at international and domestic level has become completely normal. After which the Ministry has decided to strictly implement this old rule again in favor of consumers. With this step, accountability of distributors will be fixed and black marketing will also be stopped.
