PATNA: Schools in Bihar from 1st to 8th are not going to open from January 18. The state government first decided that junior classes could be allowed to start from January 18. But now it has been postponed. State Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar has given this information.
Government will consider later this month
Bihar Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar told that around January 25, there will be a meeting of the Government’s Crisis Management Group. It will be considered to open junior class schools in this meeting. After taking all aspects, a decision will be taken. Corona vaccination work is going to start in Bihar from January 16. The entire machinery of the state government will be engaged in vaccination. So it was decided that after the first phase of vaccination i.e. from 23 January to 25 January a meeting of the Crisis Management Group should be held in which a decision will be taken to open schools from class one to eight after considering all the things.
It is worth noting that after the schools were closed for 7 consecutive months due to Corona, the state government had decided in December that approval should be given to open colleges and coaching institutes along with schools from class nine to 12 from January 4. At the same time, the government had said that a decision will be taken on January 18 to start the class below 9th. If everything goes well in the senior class, then junior classes will be allowed to start.
Children not coming to school
In fact, the state government has seen that even after ordering to start classes from 9th to 12th, children are not coming to school. Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar said that after ordering the opening of senior schools, the government had inquired about the situation in 27 districts. The government received a report that despite the condition of calling 50 percent children to school, a large number of children are not coming to school. The government has found that parents are afraid to send children to school. So it was decided that the decision to open junior schools from January 18 should be postponed for the present.
