Whose value has been estimated at Rs 8000 crore.

How the land of Bettiah Raj became Bihar Government's land

Bettiah Raja had no successor, due to which the land of the Bettiah royal family has now completely come under the control of the Bihar government. Recently a resolution The Vesting of Bettiah Raj Property 2024 was passed in the Bihar Legislature. With its passing, 15358 acres of land of Bettiah Raj spread in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh has now completely come under the jurisdiction of Bihar government.

Bettiah Raj has land in 14 districts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. According to the data available, the land is said to be 15215 acres in Bihar and 143 acres in Uttar Pradesh. These lands have been evaluated by the Bihar government, according to which the total value has been estimated at Rs 7957 crore. In which land worth Rs 7107 crore is located in Bihar and land worth Rs 851 crore is located in Uttar Pradesh. To get the correct information and valuation of the land of Bettiah Raj, the Bihar government has recently got it assessed by a chartered accountant.

Large scale encroachment is a challenge for the government

For this, the activities of West Champaran District Administration, the district headquarters of Bettiah, have intensified.

Months are passing and the road dispute remains the same.

In the application letter given by the locality's Ramlal Gupta, Prabhu Gupta, Pintu Gupta, Shriram, Raju Gupta, Mahesh Gupta, Jaiprakash etc. to SDM Kasya last month, it has been told that from Isaac's house till Sudin's house there is new fallow land in which The road is moving through consolidation. On the same road, the road has been closed by forceful construction of a hut by the domineering son of Sudin, Alihasan. Due to which it has become difficult for the residents of the locality to come out of their houses.

Ramlal Gupta told that after giving the application on Tehsil Day, Sudin agreed to the agreement made by the Tehsildar to remove the hut from the road as a mutual agreement between both the parties and also took two months' time, which even after the passage of time, the hut was not removed. On the contrary, the domineering Sudin is threatening the residents of the locality by showing them the power of money, due to which the affected parties are frustrated and disappointed. The district administration should settle the road dispute in time. Otherwise, if any untoward incidents occur due to the negligence of departmental officers, then they will have to be held responsible for those consequences.
