Parul Solomon, former principal of Bishop Johnson Girls School and College, has also been arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) in the paper leak case of Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO) conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission.

After filing in Civil Lines police station, Parul, resident of MG Marg Civil Lines, was presented in the court on Thursday evening, from where he was sent to Naini jail in judicial custody. Two mobile phones have been recovered from the possession of the accused.

Parul had appointed contract employee Arpit Vineet Yashwant, the main accused of paper leaking from this school. On this basis, it was found that Vineet had leaked the paper with the help of the then principal Parul.

The arrest of the former principal created panic among the school staff and others. Till now, 16 accused including mastermind Rajeev Nayan Mishra have been arrested in the case and sent to jail. The written examination of RO/ARO was held on 11th February, but due to leak of question paper the examination was canceled.

The investigation of the entire episode was handed over to STF. Then Lucknow STF Deputy SP Lal Pratap Singh along with his team had busted the gang that leaked papers from Bishop Johnson Girls School and College, Katra. STF had arrested school employee Arpit Vineet Yashwant, resident of Mayrabad Cantt and many others.

During interrogation, Arpit had admitted to leaking the paper. Also, there was talk of involvement of many other people in the entire case. When STF Inspector Anjani Kumar Tiwari, who investigated the case, took the investigation forward, it was found that Arpit was an outsider, who was given a job in the school by former principal Parul Solomon.

The then Principal Parul was responsible for conducting cheating-free examinations in the school, but he did not discharge his responsibilities. STF found many other evidences from the conversation between Arpit and Parul. It was also revealed that Arpit had leaked the paper with the help of Parul, on the basis of which action has been taken.
