‘BJP won by looting votes’… Mamta Banerjee’s big attack, said – we should have got 220 seats

Tezzbuzz Desk – Mamata Banerjee has once again launched a scathing attack on BJP. About 20 days after the assembly election results, Mamata Banerjee appeared on Facebook Live and made many serious allegations ranging from the election process to the administrative system.

Mamata Banerjee claimed that if there were fair elections, Trinamool Congress would have got 220 to 230 seats. He alleged that BJP had won the election by “looting votes”.

“Our workers were arrested”

Mamta Banerjee said that after the elections, two to two and a half thousand of her workers were arrested. He alleged that the livelihood of hawkers was snatched away and party offices were also damaged. “You have looted votes, weakened democracy and spread administrative terror,” he said.

Questions raised on Election Commission also

The Trinamool supremo also targeted the Election Commission. He said that the Election Commission is being captured and democratic institutions are being misused.

Mamta alleged that BJP people had even entered the counting center wearing CRPF uniform. He said that if BJP had really won with public support, then enthusiasm and “spontaneity” would have been visible among the people regarding the victory.

Displeasure over not getting opposition status

Mamata Banerjee also raised questions on Trinamool Congress not getting opposition status in the Assembly. He said that despite the party having 89 MLAs, they are not being given the right of opposition.

He alleged that the office of the opposition party leader has been locked and the former minister and former speaker are being forced to sit in the verandah.

Mamata also spoke on religious issues

Accusing BJP of religious discrimination, Mamata Banerjee said, “There should be the same rules for everyone, no one’s rights can be taken away.” He said that wrong politics is also being done regarding the allowances of Imams and priests.

Mamata Banerjee said that her fight to protect the constitution and democracy will continue. He alleged that efforts are being made to suppress the voice of the opposition through administrative and political pressure.
