Yuvraj Singh told who will he choose in his World Test XI?

Former Indian cricket team all-rounder Yuvraj Singh recently appeared in the podcast of Club Prairie Fire YouTube channel. Here he became a part of the conversation with legendary players like Michael Vaughan and Adam Gilchrist. Meanwhile, he was asked that if he had to choose between Joe Root and Virat Kohli in his World Test XI, then whom would he choose?

Joe Root is the most in-form Test batsman in the world and is breaking records in every series. The former England captain has scored 12402 runs including 34 centuries in the longest format. On the other hand, Virat is struggling to perform well in five-day cricket. Kohli's statistics have been poor in the last few matches and his recent Test match against Bangladesh was also ordinary. Kohli scored 6 and 17 runs in the two innings and was out easily.

Seeing Root's form, Yuvi also chose Root's name instead of choosing Virat. Yuvi said, “If you ask me on the basis of form, I will take the name of Joe Root. But I will also look at the venue and the country. If it is England, Root will make it to my World XI. Apart from this, I am going with Virat. Root has been unstoppable in Test cricket and is scoring runs against every team. He is good in Tests, but when it comes to all formats, Virat is ahead of him.”

Let us tell you that Root will return in the upcoming three test match series in Pakistan. While Virat Kohli will represent the Indian national cricket team in the second Test against Bangladesh starting from September 27 in Kanpur. Fans have high expectations from Kohli and they would also like to regain the lost momentum against Bangladesh before the Test series against New Zealand.
