BJP’s vote share increased, but seats decreased

The BJP is set to get 39.02 per cent vote share in the 2022 polls, while the saffron party got 35.63 per cent in NDMC, 34.87 per cent in SDMC and 38.61 per cent in EDMC in 2017 polls. Congress in crisis, increase in vote share, seats also out of hand

If anyone has suffered the most in the MCD elections 2022, then it is the Congress party. Not only has the party’s vote share declined drastically, but its number of seats has also declined significantly. In the 2022 elections, the vote share of the Congress came down to just 11.74 per cent. Whereas in 2017 elections, Congress got 20.73 percent votes in NDMC, 20.29 percent in SDMC and 22.84 percent in EDMC. If you look at its average, it is about 21 percent.
