Aloe vera is used in many hair products because it helps with hair loss, and rubbing aloe vera on the affected area can help regrow hair.
Many moisturizers, lotions, facial washes and soaps use aloe vera due to the moisturizing and healing properties of aloe vera. Due to its antibacterial properties, it helps to prevent acne, remove dirt and oil from the skin and work better to avoid scarring.
It is a great remedy to relieve the symptoms of sunburn and speed up the healing process.
Studies have shown that aloe vera can also help with hyperpigmentation.

How aloe vera helps with hyperpigmentation
Some studies suggest that chemicals in aloe vera gel specifically: aloin and allosin break down excess melanin cells and inhibit the formation of excess melanin.
This is a two step process. Specifically, aloin breaks down excess pigment deposits, and aloin prevents the skin from accumulating more melanin. The combination of these two effects leads to a lightening of the skin over time.

Aloe vera also helps in hydrating the skin as it is rich in water. It contains antioxidants like selenium, zinc and magnesium that help protect your skin from harsh chemicals, damage from sun exposure and pollution. In this way, aloe vera keeps the skin hydrated and strong as well as works for cell production and turnover.
